Louis Vuitton is linking up with with popular Japanese-based artist, Yayoi Kusama for their upcoming collection of leather goods, ready-to-wear garments, shoes, jewelry, and watches. Yayoi Kusama is known for her polka-dot alluring artwork. This is not the first time the mega fashion house has collaborated with a notable graphic artist. Between 2001 and 2006, Louis Vuitton artistic director, Marc Jacobs, connected with renowned visual artist, Takashi Murakami, to release a series of products inspired by Murakami's artwork. The label has also hooked up with Richard Prince and Stephen Sprouse's for lines based off of their retrospective designs. The collaborative line between Louis Vuitton and Kusama is expected to hit Louis Vuitton boutiques early July. See some of Yayoi Kusama's most compelling artwork after the jump.
