I would first like to say thanks to all who have followed my blog. As a way of being more hands on with my blog I am transitioning my blog to an official website. It will be under the url name modimpulse.com. To the few followers I have gained, I asked that you visit the updated site as well. Between now and then I will still be blogging by way of Google's blogger platform, but I may be slow on post due to a busy schedule.

Kelly Rowland: Keep It Between Us

Kelly Rowland snabs actor Lance Gross, to play her love interest in her video for, "Keep it Between Us". The track is Rowland's latest single off her album, Here I Am. The songstress heads to Paris to film the video. She  reminisces about the amazing moments she shared with her love, while looking beautiful as always. New on the Rack: Clover Canyon New Release

California label Clover Canyon elevates casual wear with a formation of earth inspired colors and  abstract patterns. The line features a series of multi-pattern silk blouses, maxi gown, and wide leg pants. The line is a fun alternative to your everyday wear. Are you a fan of Clover Canyon? Nicki Minaj - Stupid Hoe

Nicki Minaj has finally released the video for her track "Stupid Hoe". The highly animated artist, keeps true to her colorful personality with this vivid visual. The song is Nicki's first single off her upcoming album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The EP was originally set to be released by next month. However, the  release date is now being pushed back to April 3rd. Until then,  get a peek of Nicki's latest offering to her fans after the jump. 

Jay-Z Celebrates The Re-opening of His 40/40

Jay-Z held a star-studded bash in honor of the re-opening of his social establishment, 40/40. The proud new father looked like a boss in a tailored black suit and grey shirt, as he accompanied his guest with  $650 bottles of Ace of Spades champagne.  Steve Stout, Russel Simmons, Swizz Beats, Fabulous, Jessica White,  and new couple Terrance J & Selita Ebanks were a few familiars names that showed up in support of Jay and his, one of many ventures. Also making an appearance, was known other than Warren Buffet, also known as the third richest man in the world. That stumps any guest list I ever had. See some more shots from the party after the jump. 

On the Market: Balmain Coated Bouclé Biker Jacket

Balmain releases a new biker jacket installment from their latest collection. The Balmain Coated Bouclé Biker Jacket is a creme colored biker, accented with gold buttons and zippers across the front and sides. The jacket compiles a great amount of detail. New on the Playlist: Sol featuring Ray Delton

Seattle's own, Sol, needs your love, as he proclaims in his latest track (as you may have guessed), "Need Your Love". The rhythmic artist links up with Ray Delton for this melo  Jacks Green and Eskimo & Sons produced song. The track comes as a feature off of Sol's soon to be album, Your's Truly, out January 20. Estelle - "Thank You"

Upon releasing her forth LP, All of Me, British crooner, Estelle, unveils visuals for her latest song, "Thank You". Taylor Swift makes her first appearance on the  cover of Vogue for their February 2012 issue. The young star discusses her rode to fame, the demanding work ethic she has developed over the year's, and her new found sense of independence. Swift is shown throughout the spread wearing apparel from Rodarte's past and present collections. On the cover, swift is wearing a Rodarte Spring 2012 Marigold and Lilac Hand Knit Basket Stitch Sweater. Many stars made an appearance at the, infamous, Golden Globes Award ceremony. Before making their way into the venue to celebrate the best in tv and film, a few stars stopped by the red carpet to give onlookers a peek of what they were wearing. Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama

Louis Vuitton is linking up with with popular Japanese-based artist, Yayoi Kusama for their upcoming collection of leather goods, ready-to-wear garments, shoes, jewelry, and watches. Yayoi Kusama is known for her polka-dot alluring artwork.  This is not the first time the mega fashion house has collaborated with a notable graphic artist. Between 2001 and 2006, Louis Vuitton artistic director, Marc Jacobs, connected with renowned visual artist, Takashi Murakami, to release a series of products inspired by Murakami's artwork. The label has also hooked up with Richard Prince and Stephen Sprouse's for lines based off of their retrospective designs. The collaborative line between Louis Vuitton and Kusama is expected to hit Louis Vuitton boutiques early July. See some of Yayoi Kusama's most compelling artwork after the jump.

Mod Men: Vans OTW Ludlow - Spring 2012

Street wear shoe brand, Vans, is set to release it's Vans OTW Ludlow Spring 2012 collection.  Vans' Ludlow collections takes a more classic approach to the brand's usual skateboard chic designs. Solange Knowles Makes Model Debut

Earlier this month Next Model Management introduced Solange Knowles as their latest signed model. Solange is now showcasing her modeling skills before the world in Oyster Magazine. Knowles also made her first debut on the runway for Alberta Ferretti's Pre-Fall 2012 collection at Milan Fashion Week alongside Julia Sarr-Jamois and Oroma Elewa . On the Market: Valentino Va Va oom Bag

The French fashion market house, Montaigne Market, will hold an event in honor of the release of  the limited edition Valentino's Va Va Voom shoulder bag. The ceremony will take place during Paris Couture Week. The full black leather, Va Va Voom bag. which  features a silver chain a black studs, will only be available at the Montaigne Market beginning January 25, 2012. Meet Fashion's Newest Model: Solange Knowles

Beyonce isn't the only Knowles making headlines. Solange Knowles, who earns much respect for her individualistic style, has signed a modeling deal with Next Model Management. Knowles, who has made a name for herself as a reputable DJ, pushes to dominate other fields. Solange expresses her joy of working with Next Model to Vogue UK, stating, "Artistic expression is invaluable to me in all walks of my career and I am so excited to continue to develop this path along with such an amazing team at Next Model Management,". Vogue UK brands Knowles as "the next best thing". With a zeal for diversity, creativity, confidence, and sophistication, there is no doubt that she is on her way to becoming the "best". Music in the Making: Pharrell x Lupe

If anyone knows me, you can imagine the excitement that is building inside me for this one. Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell Williams have confirmed their, soon to be, collaborative album. After nearly 5 years of anticipation for a collaborative album, the duo has come to find time to hit the studio. The world first got a glimpse of CRS (Child, Rebel, Soldier-composed of Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, and Pharrell Williams) back in 2007. The three speculated the release of an album, but the album never came into existence.Rather, the three continued to release a few records at the spur of the moment. Unfortunately, Ye will be absent from the tracks. Hopefully, we can at least receive a small appearance from him on on the album. Listen to the first CRS track after the jump.

Music royalty, Jay-Z and Beyonce, have the world buzzing over the birth of the newest addition to their family, Blue Ivy Carter. The couple released an official statement on the birth of their child while Jay-Z sent out the ultimate dedication to his baby girl. Jay released a track entitled, Glory, featuring, none other than, Blue Ivy Carter herself. The profound rapper gets real intimate and personal, as he opens up about the miscarriage he and Beyonce faced, before the arrival of their latest blessing. Alexander Wang Leather Andrea Boots

Take a look at Alexander Wang's latest footwear installment, the Alexander Wang Leather Andrea Boots. While searching for nice casual lace up boots to wear, these serve as a fitting example. These 100% leather high-tops feature clean cut-out detailing, rounded cap toes, tonal lace hooks, and a single side zip closure. The shape of the boot is quite clean and sophisticated. These paired with a simple top and some skinnies will work just fine for a day of leisure. See more after the jump.

Hermes Birkin? Umm...Not Quite

So I came across this bag, with the notion that I saw an exclusive Neoprene Hermes Birkin. Turns out I was hoodwinked. The bag is in fact, a Leghila Neoprene B-Bag Tote.Yes, the "B-Bag", a name close enough to imitate the Birkin but far enough to escape laws of infringement. I'm not making any assumptions that thievery was the case, but the similarities are just too keen. However, if that is the case, I must admit that they do a very good job of emulating the Birkin. The structure of the Leghila bags are nice and the colorways are pleasing to the eyes. But is it too close for comfort? If you recall, Mulberry also happens to have a bag similar to the design of the Birkin, but happens to exclude a latch strap across the front. The exclusion of a strap gives Mulberry some leeway, but even so, Mulberry has lately become a signature bag. With all that being said, the Leghila Neoprene B-Bag comes at a price tag of $345.00. Do you find the bag to be a great alternative to the comparably expensive Hermes Birkin? Or, is this just pure fashion thievery? Lanvin Cruise 2012

Lanvin, returns with their Cruise Collection for 2012. As expected, the line exhibits a balance between sophistication and edge, with muted hues, loose fabric, and regal embellishments. Lanvin director, Alber Elbaz, summons his inspiration for the collection from regal fashion figures such as, Madame Gres, Elizabeth Taylor and Princes Harry and William. Elbaz hits the mark with a focus on voluminous silhouettes and jeweled detailing. The line features flapper-inspired fringe dresses, maxi gowns, ethereal blazers and pants, and vintage bathing suits. Pakayla Biehn

San Francisco artist, Pakayla Biehn, developed these beautiful images through a method known as double exposure photography. According to Biehn, she uses double exposure photographs as reference images, then paints them onto blank canvases. The end product is a very abstract and detailed portrait. 2011 Best in Music

2011 was undoubtedly a great year in music. Many indie artist surfaced the scene and stole the spotlight, while some legendary artist collaborated and brought their best. The year was filled with record breaking hits after hits.A few underground artist also made their way to the top with their viral mixtapes taking over the web. 2011 brought the world a lot of amazing new talents with new sounds and gave us extraordinary albums from veteran talents as well. 2012 is finally here! Yes, another year for fabulous fashion, great music, and a little craziness in between. Joy was spread across the world as many prepared to transition into a new year.
